Photographer's Note

Taken from the north bank of the Raptis River in southern Nepal. (Chitwan National Park at Sauhara.) Continuing the theme of looking from one country, into another: this time, Nepal into India.

Tourists are strongly advised not to cross the river at night, as tigers roam the forest on the other side. Forget about a night swim too. Marsh Muggers (the local euphenism for Crocodiles), inhabit these waters.

The blurred movement in the distance, is a farmer bringing his water buffalo back for the night.
