[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It takes a few hours to walk along this windswept valley towards Jomsom in the Annapurna area. It is however an extremely nice change as there aren't many flat areas around here.

HP5, scan from negative

Great image David!
the Valley is well captured and i like both the noisy and the B/W!
thanks, ciao

I sense some noise @ the clouds I think ıt's because of negative scan.

Good composition

It is a nice picture, that shows well the torsion of the rocks, and well structured. The B&W and the stones in the foreground gives the impression of a picture taken on mars by a robot...
It is not easy to walk through these stones at the end of the day.

Joli.

Great valley and a great B&W landscape. I like the of center position of the far end of the valley and how the rock in the foreground points to it. That rock also adds a lot to the picture just by being there in the corner.

David, this is a great image for black and white, with so many textures! The rock at lower left definitely is the touch that makes it a hit, compositionally.

I wonder a little about the graininess that's visible, given that the foreground surface of small rocks already adds a certain "noise." But this is not a major issue.

Great work!
