As this was my second time in Ghorepani I decided that I might not bother climbing Poon Hill as the whole valley was shrouded in cloud and I didn't think there would be any views. Something told me that I should get my butt out of bed and go up to the top of the hill and so I sprinted breathlessly, as quickly as I could up to the viewing point. Just as I reached the top the cloud dropped down below where I was into the valley (you can see a thick layer of cloud in the valley on the right) and the sun slowly rose over the mountain ridges to reveal the mountain vista that surrounded me, painted pink and orange. The rhododendron forests on the hillsides all around were just starting to be in full bloom too. Thanks god I got out of bed that morning, it was stupendous!
I have not altered the colours on this slide at all. Just a little cropping.

No points here? I don't understand! It's a faboulous view! I have read Rheinhold Messner's adventures about climbing the Dhaulagiri ad other peaks...so impressive! It must be like a drug or something! Great!
