Photographer's Note
The trek to Ghandruk starts after one hour of drive from Pokhara and ascends through the valley of Modi Khola river after crossing the suspension bridge at Birethanti. We then climbed past farm terraces and beautiful hill villages and at the end of the day reached the ethnic Gurung village of Ghandruk, which is the second largest Gurung village in Nepal
Ghandruk village offers some wonderful close up views of both the sacred mountain Macchapuchre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South, and the view during sunrise is magnificent. The village still preserves the traditional houses with stone roofs, and it was nice to walk around and observe the local mountain life.

Hello May,
What a great scene, captured from a high viewpoint which shows the rural surroundings very well and the busy working life of these women. Good use of the vertical format to focus attention on these locals and their home farm. The perspective enhances the graphism of the terraced fields. Great shot.
Kind regards,
Christian

Hi May,
Excelent bird view to the small simple terrace fields. You have placed both, the house and the pople, nicely off-centre, creating good balance and harmony. The overall color contrast is very good. The people add nice life to the scene. Well done.

Hi May
A well spotted scene obviously worthy of the effort and nice exploitation of the high viewpoint. Love the strength of this, specks of bold colors, perspective, composition, shapes & textures and placement of people just spot on. That's striking, really makes you take a closer look, it's not only a work of art but this appeals in a big way to me. Brilliant work! Good infor notes

Hi May,
Excellent composition from an extraordinary point of view. You have waited the perfect moment to capture this scene, with a trio of people that makes all the difference to captivate the interest.
The undulating lines bring a lot of movement in your scene and are well managed to fit harmoniously within the frame.
Great work!

Hi dear May. Top shot, the sort I really like where the people are shown in their element. Excellent format by which we can see clearly the lay of the land, the labour involved and habitation. Very informative and well handled image. Regards. Klaudio.
