Photographer’s Note
Hiking through the Annapurna range in Nepal, we came across this kind grandmother and granddaughter. I hadn't had much of a chance to take pictures yet, so was a bit nervous when they agreed to let me snap one!
Walking away, the little girl yelled "Namaste" to us!
It's amazing how a stranger, under the age of 5 can make a trip to a new country feel so comfortable.

Hi Cheryl,
Welcome to TE. Very nice first photo of this
Nepalese grandma and granddaughter. I like the contrast between the blue door and the subjetcs clothes. I think I may have come in a little closer for a more intimate image. But also like it as is.
Once again, welcome.

Hello, Cheryl. Welcome to Trekearth. That is such a warm, sweet photo. I like the contrast of the two of them against the blue of the door. I might have cropped a bit off the top, but a reeeally nice photo, nonetheless. TFS, Shelly

Welcome to TE dubgil - or should i say Tracey?
I love this photo. It has a truly human feel to it that shows you have an eye for emotion. The blue backdrop was an excellent spot to contrast the stellar saturation of the subjects clothing. The clubed foot of the child is a perfect juxtoposition of the reality of the tourist dollar vs. the poverty that the visitor often encouters. Lovely detail and sharpness. Well done!!

Hey Dubgirl,
awesome first post. i think that this shot would look perfect if you framed it and put it up on a neutral grey painted wall in a physiotherapy clinic.
truly a beautiful shot
