Prayers flag in front of the Daulaghiri Photo

Photographer’s Note

The view was shot during a trek around the Daulaghiri, one of the himalayan giants (8170 m).

We spent two days at the base camp, at about 4600 meters high. The prayers flag are installed by the sherpas to insure the protection of God (sometimes, it doesn't work ...).

In the background stands the Daulaghiri.

Belle photo d'ambiance pour ce camp de base situé au pied de ce géant himalayen! la compo est supberbe avec le camp, le glacier et la montagne derrière. Le format vertical s'imposait éveidemment ici. J'aime bien la présence des personnages qui nous montre que nous sommes bien petits face à la nature!

Hi Laurent,
really good composition and superb quality here. Its funnt to think the peak is 3.5 km above the campsite - it looks quite close! The prayer plags and tents add a well needed splash of colour

Magnifique photo! D'un cote ca donne envie de commencer a s'entrainer pour y monter, mais d'un autre cote ca a l'air absolument terrifiant...
