Photographer’s Note
On the upper Karnali in the west of Nepal there is a small monastery. This is one of the Stupas, with prayerflags attached to the spire. The wind sends the prayers which are printed on the flags in the air to benefit all beings.
It was late afternoon, the air was filled with the purifying scent of burning juniper.
