trekking up through the villages means negotiating main streets just wide enough for the pack mule trains to get through
they run up and down once a day over 2000 metres altitude delivering goods and taking back produce
when you hear the clatter of them approaching one needs to find a bolt hole to allow passage

good composition, very crisp details, but the white laundry in the background is a little over exposed.
but overall this is shot with character:)

Hallo Geof!
This one reminds me a bit of the alleyways in Ticino, southern Switzerland. A world out of stone ... I like the perspective in this photo very much. The eyes nearly are "drawn" into the village.

Hope you had a Happy Christmas and New Year. I like the composition here looking up this narrow alleyway with its marvellous stone walls and paving. The cockerel and red bucket are nice bonuses making a good contrast with the grey stone walls. Very good tones and clarity.

Hello Geof! Good photo (and note) showing the "main street". Life conditions in these places is special, I see. The photo has a nice composition and it's very realistic; however, I'd have liked not to see that ugly pipe on the left :-) (but that's the way the village is, isn't it?).

Spooky shot of this alleyway...the network of alleys in the recesses of the mountains are like a maze..remmeber making my way through one maze of alleys..( it was a short-cut to the hilltop)..way back i got lost...

This one brings back memories :)

Just a short layoff, guess it will last a bit longer..haven't had much time..New Year Greetings to you and your family :)
