What a nice portrait, Gloria!! The girl is looking at you without understanding why you are looking at her, so shy, so poor. I notice a hole in her coat. She will become a handsome girl.

Normally I am not too keen on straight-on centred portraits like this, Gloria, but this one works quite well - perhaps because the valley makes such an interesting backdrop - or maybe its her concentrated stare - I am not sure. DOF and sharpness is very good. Maybe a fill flash would have avoided the exposure blow out on the nose and evened the contrast between the sides of the face. Other than that small point, it is very good. Cheers . . . David

Hi Gloria,
Nice arresting portrait of this young girl, with her face half in light, half in shade. I find the backdrop too blurred (I would have wished for something closer), but it still works ok.
Your note is also powerful.
