In this age of broadband & iphones, it's an age of old tradition that never change.....
This close up quick shot from the same village, a glimpse into a part of this farmer's life just the sort of image that helps bring a greater understanding of the life of others in far away places and the unchanged culture of Nepal. Village life has not changed much here as I have mentioned earlier, people work with their hands and muscle power, no big tractors or machines to help with the daily tasks in the fields but on the plus point there is a strong sense of community spirit and people help each other.
This is the same in all the remote villages in Asia and a common sight but it's also remarkable nonetheless considering the distances she carries daily. However I find it interesting to see this method of carrying product despite the health hazard to their backs and necks they may suffer in the long term. It has a charm of its own regardless of that, something different so far removed form our modern way of life.
I love shooting the gentle, very humane insight into the lives of others and my perception of comfort is quite shattered in the process. Hopefully the image speaks for itself.
But sometimes I wonder who is happier.....

You're capturing well this scene by a good macro, a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the spectacle which the woman who carried the heavy load on the back is walking along the passage patiently. It's also hood color contrast between her dress, bamboo basket and blue string. It is very difficult to reply to the question which is more fortunate for a person between the conventional tradition society and machine civilization when thinking about the bond of community, labor, the depth of a desire and convienience of daily life etc.

excellent capture of the moment and spirit. The image does speak for itself, no doubt. Photographically I really like how the colorful contrasty shirt works here.
As for those uneven blurred patches on the wall maybe I'd try a more generalized blurring here to balance the background.
Thanks and best wishes!

this is a fine composition of a picture that looks like shot from the hip. I like very much the upward point of view and the tight framing as well as the way the lady stands out in an environment that's almost homogeneous chromatically. She has enough space ahead of her to signify the continuity of this procedure and route. Her expression and posture tell us about her daily life in a strikingly simple and eloquent way. You've captured a moment of her daily routine that has been recurring for decades and is a centuries old journey in her village. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

This is a great shot that indeed captures the old ways that seem at odds with modern life.
It captures movement too with a light blurring effect though I would have liked to have seen it sharp I think. The colours on the coat and in her hair look a little saturated too. Aside from those minor issues it is a well conceived shot as always from you.

Interesting note, I also saw in Nepal very young people (boys and girls ) carrying heavy loads being tied with wide headbands at their head
But this woman seems quite tired and old , obviously for her life is heavy and need rest
Like the back where are the very typical Nepal houses
Happy week end

I am sure, in your travels, you are discovering that happiness does not derive from material possessions or even human achievement.
I like your POV, the colors and details on your subject's face.

Hi dear Abmdsudi
I like the tight framing here and the sense of movement is palpable. There is a slight blurriness to the image, but this is not fatal as it conveys that sense of dynamism. It also looks to have been shot from a low POV, perhaps one of your "shoot from the hip" shots?? Anyway, nice work, artistic and original.
