Nice scene - but I want to see their faces! Can you use fill flash in these conditions?

I agree with Philip on this one. The scene you are showing us is great, but we need to see the faces. Either some flash, or perhaps a reflector or two would help a lot.

hmmm, the story you want to tell doesn't come out very clear. the smallest kid looks the other way, and the one on the left, it's not clear what he's doing. Perhaps you should 'show more by showing less'. Just the man would be okay, photographed through the bars of the fence. Or a closeup from the small kid with the scale of beans, peeling hands of dad. That would bring the action more in the limelight.
