Swayambunath is one the most sacred buddhist pilgrimage site. It is also known as the monkey temple as there are holy primates living in the temple. Swayambhunath consists of a stupa, a variety of shrines and temples. 365 steps lead directly to the main platform at the top of the temple. The stupa was completely renovated in may 2010, its first major renovation in 90 years and its 15th in the nearly 1500 years since it was built. Source : wiki

Good afternoon, this afternoon.
A good article on the temple with a description, a nice view ...
Good time recording, sharpness and contrast nicely shown part of the temple and the second with the visitors, beautiful colors.
Nice afternoon and all the best in the new week that started, good luck.

How great to see renovation on important structures like this, and its beauty shines through as even under the protection of the construction cover, it still appears as a beautiful structure. I like the little eyes at the near top too, it looks like somebody is peeping out!
All the best

an interesting angle showing the famous temple for a different pov., I liked these details, specially these windows painted in gold. it is a pity the image isn't so sharp.

Hi Gueguen, This Monkey Temple still has a lot to tell even though it is under the construction and it is partially covered by a piece of construction sheet. One can imagine how beautiful those parts under the cover of this sheet just by looking outside structure of this temple. Great POV with fine details. Thank for sharing

Looks like this enormous stupa is getting a face-lift since I was last there in 2002! The scaffolding wasn't there when I visitted. Good framing and composition and the people add scale and animate the scene. The watching eyes immediately attract attention. Great weekend to you!
