Copy what I wrote in preceding note about Kodari
Besides being a place of stunning natural beauty, it has an exotic history going back to ancient times as the starting point of the trans- Himalayan caravan route, the Nepalese equivalent of Silk Road
The 144 km Arniko Highway connecting Kathmandu with Kodari passes through magnificent river gorges and splendid mountain scenery
Kodari is just 4-5 hours’ drive away from Kathmandu
Taken while going to cross the “Friendship Bridge” located at the border between Nepal and Tibet (Chine), that must be done on foot
Across the street- route I saw how civilization or what we, occidentals, call it, is being sweep away, for instance traditional houses by small apartments below which people rest or store wasted things on one side of the street, while a big truck with the Nepalese flag on it right side, comes from the border
There are still some dust covered prayer flags crossing the route a way to remind that religious beliefs are still kept

Hola Maria querida,
this picture is rather sad for me, although I know it's not unusual and one can find similar sights in many places, including Greece. I'm not sure the people living in these apartments will have better quality of life and although these colours look good in coastal greek towns, I don't like them at all in mountainous places like this. Your picture is well composed and very interesting, the prayer flags have a discreet presence and a stunning impact. It was surprising to discover a man in the shade of the first floor balcony. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
PS I'm sure Eleni is fluent in Spanish and very confident in using it! I need to study to be able to write comprehensively but I understand a lot... Maybe I'll find some time to study in the summer:)

Étonnante scène avec plein de détails et de choses a voir... Quand on pense au Népal ce n'est pas ce type d'image qui arrive en premier... C'est une bonne idée de partager ce type d'image.
Je te souhaite une bonne journée,

Hola my rainy friend! :)
Sounds like quite an international crossroads of sorts, the contrast seen on many different levels. Despite your note detailing the conditions of the building we see here, it still has an attractive quality for someone like me who enjoys the blue color. :) Although I'm unfamiliar with the situations and culture, there is a very polarizing aspect to these daily life moments which you've captured and presented recently.
Full of color throughout, you've composed a nice scene which brings them all together in their various forms. Well controlled light and good focus which allows for a bright and detailed scene. As you mentioned, good to see the prayer flags over the street, a nice reminder for all. Enjoy the rest of the evening. Be good.
I raise a Coke to you. Cheers!

What stunning topography Nepal possesses, where even the foothills of the Himalayas tower over most peaks around the world. Here above the truck and building, one a vertical hillside rises, seemingly endlessly. I am glad you did not show the top of the hill, placing no limit on its height.

A good daily life scene on the Nepalese / China border with the truck, prayer flags and small child under the balcony at right providing 3 key focal points. Good sharpness and excellent framing and composition. The green grassy hill makes a good backdrop. Have a nice week!

This is certainly not a typical Nepaleses style building, but times change and so does architecture. Only in Bhutan every house, even new ones, must be built in a traditional style but maybe with modern material. In this photo I find it rather funny that the prayer flags hanging across the street look very similar to the laundry hanging from the balconies.

Nice record shot and the dusty atmosphere well seen! I like the POV and the elements rightly placed and It radiates an isolated feeling and stories of this deserted border town. The exposure is good, the focus is spot on well put together but what kind of mind thinks it out in the first place!! You have captured and documented the scene effectively in this shot to represent the different part of the journey. Congrats, tfs

Beautiful rural scene and this bus reminds me of the buses in the Philippines--they are highly decorated and bright paint job. Good pov and nice details. Well done, tfs.

This picture shows how the concrete buildings are ruining the pristine beauty of the hills and the so called 'progress' changing the simple lifestyles of the inhabitants. the picture is not without its effectiveness with a fine framing and pov with the truck perfectly positioned. thanks for sharing and have a great day.

Only in my 2nd glance i saw the man sit under the first floor balcony, taken a rest from work...
Fine taken the street and house, hanged loundry as flags and a colorful lory parked alongside.
Combined view of the green hill behinde, and contrats the light-blue color of the edifice.
Buen fin de semana,

Un HLM ici ? Etrange !

GPC.
