A night fish merchant of Kathmandu, the retailers of the city offer river fishes only, Rohu (Labeo rohita), Bhakur (Cyprinus catla), Mrigal (Cirrhinus cirrhosus) and Chinese silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix). These carps are eaten deep fried in mustard oil, or in a sauce

A fine selection of produce on display hee, and amazing to me to see a shop like this open at night too! Night shopping is not common here, but it makes so much sense. Its a very nicely taken gritty and real scene and great lighting for the time of day too!

It's an unusual subject for you, I believe. I did not know that Nepalese are so fond of fish that the market is open till night.
An interesting capture in difficult light and... smell.
(A secret information: my wife is a good cook of the items you mentioned in your note.)
With best wishes,

This is an interesting scene from Kathmandu, it allows us to learn about this city and people workin there, well observed and captured

I am glad to hear they don't sell fish from the sea at this market. I wouldn't trust the freshness of fish from so far away. This is an interesting photo, for the fish it shows and for the information that the shop is open in the night. A fine documentary shot.

Good morning Miguel,
Inspite of the very low light conditions(which had result in "noise-grains" on pic. space), the fish-market small displayed stall conveys well how people make the living, in hardship I'd say.
Simple stuff - but has lot's of meaning on photo.
Enjoy a nice weekend,

Well composed with reasonably good sharpness but a bit of noise and grain, understandable when this was shot at night in low light levels. Vibrant color and nice repetition of the fresh looking fish. The diffused light has worked well here. Tfs!

Interesting , as always, scenes from markets, they mean life and lets us know how and what local people ate, sell and buy
A pity there is some noise but taken at night almost impossible to avoid
Have a great week

Something very fishy here. This is a great shot of the local fish stall in Kathmandu and what a contrast to our fish markets. No food standards agency there and I bet the fish tastes even better. Love the rustic charm of the whole scene. Nice one.

nice image. I liked the row of these fishes, one of the personages is well positioned. it is a pity the image something grainy.
