Photographer’s Note
in this country you can find the most rivetting smiles in the world and they come straight from the heart. it'll be rare if you pass or meet someone who doesnt greet you with a huge warm smile.
this woman was selling lottery tickets. lottery is a big part of life here in this country because everyone hopes to win enough money for a better life, perhaps out of the country.
tried to capture on camera, a part of another bumese soul.
the resolution seems to be quite low. i was trying to save it for the web , but i dont think it worked out quite as i expected it to . so i'll try and repost this with higher resolution in a few days, if you all cant see it properly

I can see it..but I think a less resolution screen won't...you caught her beautiful smile and eyes between tickets and counter (?)..light on her lower face pulls attention there first..and then eyes seen and that's good :)

another excellent photo - and a nice little story, too. resolution looks fine to me.

Composition reflects a photograph that has been thought out a bit-- it's very neat that you've placed the top of her head between the two plastic packets; little things like that make all the difference when there's so little in the frame. What I find interesting is that her smile catches the direct sunlight and her eyes sink into the shadows-- perfectly in line with the title you've chosen.
I find the eyes of a person the most fascinating thing to look at so I would have stood up a little higher to place her eyes in the bright section and sink her mouth into shadow. I like mentally playing around with ideas like that; a small change and drastically alter the meaning of a shot.

I don't know what you're seeing resolution wise-- the dimensions of this image are larger than what I usually post and I consider myself pretty anal when it comes to resolution and sharpening for display. Just keep the longest dimension at 800 pixels and it should be plenty big most of the time.
