Photographer’s Note

The Golden Rock is a large boulder of granite,completely covered by gold leaves, which sits precariously on the edge of a cliff and said to be balanced by the hair relic of Buddha.

Only men can go there, and as I said in this workshop, women are not allowed to touch the boulder, nor are they allowed to be within proximity of the pagoda.
