Photographer’s Note
This is another one taken in Sagaing!
These young monks were sitting along the river bank enjoying the scenery and watching the world go by. The young novices were almost always very friendly towards tourists and took time out for a chat. Despite the political upheaval that went on at the time, Sagaing seemed very relaxed.

hi arif
the one thing i like about this photo is the candidness of the monks. no poses, no forced smiles, just relaxed young men doing what they do naturally. i'm quite interested in knowing what they boy in the middle is looking at. because to my old eyes, it looks like a mobile phone. well done!

Hello Arif
MOnks having a break...they are quite open approachable..have met a few when i was touring ladakh..below tibet..but good use of the subjects with the right perspective...the saturation of the red is well balanced..
Overall well presented..i like it..:)
Cheers

Hello Arif! Great candid shot, they all have different expressions. I also like the way the contrast between the white bridge and the surroundings. I think increasing the contrast and saturation will make the photo better. rgds.
