Photographer's Note

I was leaving the Shwedagon Pagoda with my government-approved guide and a friend. They were talking while I was lagging behind. We passed a pavilion where a family was quietly contemplating the beauty of the place. This little girl seemed more interested in the passing barbarian. I had already mounted my telephoto lens so I was able to get a tight shot. The girl never changed from that pensive stare.

Standard workflow plus some dodge/burn. Iso400
