Schwedagon Pagoda, Yangon, Myanmar

The sun was 'goldening' a perfectly-blue sky at the Schwedagon Pagoda, last December 2006.

Under the shadow of a shrine, sitting silent on her folded legs over the cool and soft marble tiles, she kept praying for hours. Deep and glorious.

I think of her today. The Burmese Madonna.

Fun photo, Anne. I really enjoy this very unique sillhouette. I'm not sure the tilt does anything here, but the contrast of the figure and the very active background is very well seen.

J'aime beaucoup cette photo, super bien composee. On a l'impression que de l'or vole dans tous les coins. La silhouette devant est geniale pour rehausser encore tout cet or. Une vue fabuleuse. Bravo!

j'aime bien cette ombre birmane devant ce fabuleux decors qu"est la Schwedagon Pagoda.

Very good composition and the general idea. I think if it were not tilted it might have been an excellent photo and it's just good. No worries i still think you did a great job. Cheers!
