Dans les cieux,
l'enfant moine méditait.
Les étoiles à ses pieds, le soleil devant lui.
Il avait quitté la terre en gravissant la montagne.
Il s'était rapproché des sages.
Il avait beaucoup appris des anciens.
On lui avait raconté la jalousie et la cupidité.
On lui avait dit les ravages de l'argent et la faiblesse des hommes.
Alors l'enfant moine avait élevé son corps pour purifier son âme.

Sur la montagne de kyaiktiyo, je n'ai pas vu le rocher d'or.
Mais j'ai vu la richesse des sages.

In the skies, the child monk meditated.
Stars with its feet, sun in front of him.
He had left the ground by climbing the mountain.
He had approached the wise ones.
He had learned much from old.
They had told him the jealousy and cupidity, the devastations of the money and the weakness of the men.
Then the child monk had raised his body to purify his heart.

On the mountain of kyaiktiyo, I did not see the gold rock. But I saw the richness of the wise ones

Une photo dans laquelle cette brume amplifie la beauté des teintes douces.
Le moine qui a l'air de méditer même dans des moments tout simples comme celui-ci.
Un cadrage parfait, une expositon subtile.

Hi Bertrand, congratulations on capturing a beautiful image. The (early morning?) light is perfect here, and the monk's pose speaks of great contentedness and solitude. Great detail in the railing too, and the sun's subtle reflection off it. Excellent work.

Beautiful, Bertrand. Poetic and very lovely. The soft light looks like that of early morning, the moment very precious, the composition perfect... somehow to me it looks like a very peaceful, deep dream... the little monk boy's pose implies he is accustomed to his solitariness--a gorgeous, evocative shot!

A poignant scene, where the viewer has the experience of being beside the child monk looking out on the vast sky and landscape. I like the way you framed this with the wrought iron railing and the boy to the right. The ambience is powerful and magnetic. Well captured.

Bonjour Bertrand,
Cette image est vraiement très belle et pleine de poésie, comme ton texte qui l'accompagne.
C'est une très belle illustration de la méditation et elle n'inspire que calme et paix. La brume qui couvre la vallée avec le soleil qui s'en dégage apporte des couleurs pastel qui réhaussent la douceur de l'ensemble.
Vraiment une belle photo, chapeau l'artiste !

Oui, c'est vraiment tres beau, emouvant meme, bertrand. Il y un euilibre tout special dans ce cadre - le role joue par les deux cercles ne peut pas etre sous-estime.

I have always wondered about the life of a child monk, how difficult it must be but I have found most of them cheerful and happy. I do not know what the child monk here is thinking but its a great composition.

Bertrand, whoever would have thought that a white sky would be such a small obstacle to the enjoyment of a photo? This is really a wonderful image, capturing so much about the boy just from his pose and the composition of your shot. I love the very slight touches of orange from his robe and the position of the boy in the photo. Your very large aperture has rendered the background suitably hazy, and whatever you have done to the sky has worked wonders. Marvellous shot.

The view is wonderful, of course, and the pose of the young man is grand, setting us up for the context and the contemplation. What makes this really exceptional is the reflections on the fence: the barrier between the monk and his world is lightened and thus enlightening!

Très jolie composition méditative et bien jolie note également. J'aime la posture du jeune bonze ainsi que les tons pastels de l'arrière plan. Seule interrogation : la partie gauche du cliché peut être un tout petit peu vide.

Bravo pour tes photos qui sont vraiment magnifiques.

Une photo qui pourrait s'appeler aussi Contemplation tant ce jeune novice semble admiratif de ce qu'il voit. Une belle et douce image où le premier plan ressort agréablement de ce paysage et ce ciel aux couleurs pastel. Très belle réalisation et merci pour le joli texte.

This is another of those shots where the over-exposure in the sky doesn't matter; in fact it is part of the charm of the image and wouldn't be as effective without it. I love the delicate colours and the silhouetted novice admiring the beauty of the morning. Excellent composition with the beautiful railings which are catching the lovely light.

A poetic image: the young monk staring at the sun is a nice subject well captured from behind. Good definition though the light seems a bit harsh.

I also didnt get to see the golden rock, only mist, more mist and much rain. the pastel colours are lovely and the framing really nice, but most of all its the pose of the young monk.

j'aime beaucoup cette composition simple qui nous submerge dans une atmosphère mélancolique, intime et presque mystique, avec ce petit moine en méditant en face d'un soleil qui donne une lumière et quelques couleurs très douces et agréables à la photo.
Le brillant treillage donne un contraste excellent avec le fond de l'image.
