Photographer’s Note

From Bagan back to Yangon I travelled with a bus. The bus left Bagan around 15:00 and arrived in Yangon around 7:00 next morning. This photo is taken during a first short break 1:40h ride from Bagan, when the busride still seemed completely tolerable :)

I don't know the name of the fruits this woman was selling, but they tasted little bit like something between raw apple and sweet onion. Sounds weird, but taste was ok.

I don't usually post portraits or closeups because in many cases I feel they don't tell so much about the country and a place they were taken as a more distant view photos. This one I wanted to share.

Iliked in this photo that the woman was not looking directly to the camera. On her face and eyebrows you can see a little bit of the facial paint Burmese women (and some men) use as makeup :) With the man on the background gazing towards the woman with fruits, I almost get the feeling there must be someone on the right to complete the triangle :) Maybe there was.
