Photographer’s Note
Most travellers visiting Mandalay, take the cruise along the Irrawady River, and this is a most pleasant voyage. They finally arrive to Mingun where the biggest pagoda of all Myanmar stands unfinished. Not too far from that edifice stands another pagoda called " Hsinbyume " a delithful piece of architecture built in 1816, by Bagyidaw, a king who wanted to built a sanctuary which reminded Mt. Meru, hence the seven rows of waves surrounding the Pagoda. These novice monks were playing there, and I found interesting the contrast they created with their red robes against the white background.

Hi izzet,
you dealt with the difficulties here very well. And by that I mean a totally white, reflective surface in what was probably strong light, yet the exposure is very good. The graphism is fantastic and combined with the great contrast between the red and the white, it all combines to make an attractive image.

Hi Izzet. Wow, what a place - very nice photo with the novice monks in a variety of interesting poses amidst the layered waves of this building. A striking graphical piece with an obviously well-chosen vertical format. The color contrast with the red robes versus the white textured surfaces is great.

Hello Izzet,
Bien vu

So many contrasts in this shot - the serious expression off the monks and the playful curves of the waves, the deep red of the robes and the white of the pagoda, the perfect pattern of the waves and the irregular grouping of the monks... Great work!

This pattern in white and the boys are a very nice matter for a photo, good POV and colors, I think it is a little unsharp

Hi Izzet, nice to see you in Myanmar:)
I know this place but didnt get to visit it.
Great work with what must have been very harsh lightign conditions, refelcting bright white and the dark faces and robes. But you managed in perfectly.
The waves make an original stage for the young novices.
