...and let that frendly rickshaw driver have a good laugh on me.

It seemed I was a bit of a curiosity in Monywa market, carrying my photo attirement in a monk bag. People went on commenting about my bag, Ye was translating and doing my self promotion...

That rickshaw guy seemed to have a good time on me, he never stopped laughing... too bad for him, he's now the main character of this image.

Who's laughing now?

------------------------------

I took a little break from my "stalking Furachan" project but I'll be back... It happened that I looked up in some of my photos, yesterday, and went searching for a photo I remember but in fact I DIDN'T TAKE IT(the previous old sleeper in BW).. I suppose I clicked it in my head...

Hence I came out with this one, although it doesn't fit in, but I need to find back some BW spirit from time to time.

This one is super! Love the high contrast and the play of light on his arms and shoulders. Excellent angle, very good rapport with your subject.

I like your perspective very much, with his head just inside 1st part of frame (if you divide frame into 3 parts) and great lighting on his shoulders and arms. Other good thing is that it's very natural. we're not too close and not too far. Good B&W attempt
Bravo,

Funny how they have that "side car" system over there -hard pedaling life for these folks. Goo use of the 21 to "situate" your guy in his world.
Arnarud is right on the mark abut the role played by the handlebars ;o)
First class situational portrait. Problem is...now youre giving me a chance to stalk YOU!
A bientot,

I love the story behind your picture. I guess the monk bag full of lenses and camera's accessories must have been a strange composition for them :)

If they had a camera, maybe would they take a picture.

The idea of placing the bike in the foreground is great and the guy's laugh is also a good point. The black and white just fit parfectly to this scene.

Hello Luko,

The B/W contrast is jumping out of my monitor. Is this a scan from the Print? I see some greenish tone on the face and in the right. A common problem when we print B/W picture in color print paper. I love the POV and the Smile.

Arindam

Hi Luko, excellent angle for your shot, the B&W is nice for light effect. Many regards, Rafael

Hi Luko ... very nice capture of the moment ... b&w, as always, bring out the life in a photo ... thanks for sharing ....

great b&w image luko, great sense of fun here, fantastic composition, i like the way the handlebars are placed
good stuff

hello Luko
belle angle
lumière difficile on dirai

A+

Luko,
A superb balck and white. The compostion is superb with the handlsbars leading you across the frame to the other people. The rickahw man looks quite a charcter and your placement is perfect. Very contrasty and a superb daily life shot.
Cheers
Peter

Salut Luko.

Hi Luko,
Excellent B&W shot. I like the wide angle and wide smile. Very friendly overall ambience.

Kari

excellent use of the wideangle lens! well done, beautiful!

Hi Luko,

Long time no see, i think i have missed so many of your good photos, just caught up with this one. I am also a fan of B/W, i also need to find back some BW spirit from time to time.:)

the photo looks so nice, very perfect on the composition. i just dont like the greenish. i would have like it was 100% BW.

Kids and old people... this is what is so fascinating... what we were and what we will be. So tell me, it there a difference between smiling kiddies and smiling grannies? Really though, I like the composition a lot, that wide angle is great here, getting those complimentary elements in the frame, like the wheels of the 3rd and 4th bikes... the b/w is great as well.

Hello Luko. Your sides on trekearth are very interesting. Depending upon topic colored pictures with B&W Pictures alternate. Some picture of trekearth lives nearly only on the color. B&W is abstract. It reduced to the substantial and does not divert from contents. But when a colored picture is "alright" and when a B&W? With the photo "Let The Good Times Roll" the choice of B&W pleases me very well. The greytone values between light and shade are outstanding. In addition the picture has a large deep-sharpens and is exemplary composed. A masterpiece worth seeing. Greeting, Wolfgang.
