Photographer’s Note

One day I was going from Bagan to Nyaung U market with the horse-taxi. We had an interesting conversation with the driver and it lead into that he asked whether I would like to see a local cigarette factory - of course I did!

So, this photo is from the "factory" in Nyaung U. It is all handmade. Their cigarettes are as big as cigarillos or small cigars, but as they are not made from big leaves but cut tobacco, I think it is more apporpriate to call them cigarettes. I am no expert, so please correct me, if I'm wrong.

Anyway -their cigarettes taste funny. The taste is different from cigarettes or cigarillos, pipe tobacco or weed. It is something inbetween :)

What I heard is that the people work really long hours and are very poor also in Myanmar terms.

Postprocessing:
levels - the original was too dark. Actually it was very dark there.
crop - there was one more lady on the left, but I had to crop her out, because the composition was not good.

I'm not 100% happy with the POV. I would like the lady in yellow to be a bit more off the center. But I see no good way doing it with postprocessing. Ideas?
