Photographer’s Note
As every morning, at the dusk, the monks of the whole Burma go around the villages and the cities to have food donation by the citizens.
I took that image near the Shwezigon Paya at Bagan.

Ciao paolo. Brilliant shot, period. Great title, full of military resonances, incredibly long perspective, saturated colors. An epic feel to this. Truly special in every way. Bellissimo! Ciao, Francis

Complimenti Paolo, come sempre le tue foto hanno uno stile raffinato e riconoscibile... questa poi unisce cromie e geometrie in maniera impeccabile ...e finisce direttamente tra le mie favorite.
Ottimo lavoro!!

Clicking the brother link really brought a smile to my face. I wonder which one came first. Did you take this one forst and then run to the fron or did they pass you by and then you snapped this photo?
The straight line of the boy monks mimics the other straigh lines in this photo, like the ones on buildings, the road, electical wires, etc. Super composition, this and the brother pic.

Ciao Paolo,
Very nice monks perspective, I'm not sure somebody could get so many monks in the frame, I didn't count the ones on Pascal's bridge photo ;-)
We see them from the back here but I prefer this one to the previous one as its strength lies in the perspective and it is better here.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Great capture. I love all the converging lines and the line of novices with the big monk at the end is perfect!
I'm not so keen on the orange border, I'm a bit of a traditionalist so my taste is just black or white.

Very nice photo. I like all those people in red in one row. Very good perspective as well. The photo could be a bit sharper, but considering the fact that it was scanned, it is very good.

Hi Paolo
I like the superb use of diminishing linear perspective, & vanishing point, in this image. Good use of repetition, & the adult monk stands out, & adds interest. Well done!

Hi Paolo,
What a great image you have captured here. A perfect title, as the boys could not be more in single file and colourfully portrayed. I love the contrast between the red and green in the shot. The DOF is also very good, as the eye is drawn neatly down the road. A great scan as well, with good cropping. Well done.

This is a magnificent image. The sense of perspective is very well managed. The way the monks fit the vertical lines of the building windows is excellent and brings a lot of harmony to the picture. Also like the fact that the nearer monk is taller as it increases that sense of perspective and direction due to the height slope with the second monk.Beautiful light.

Grazie,
Ciao!

Just wanted to be the one to get you to 100 points. The line of monks is so perfect it's like it was staged. I shot a lot of monk lines in Burma, none of them ever this perfect! Of course the building is the perfect compliment to this very linear perspective. Excellent.

Hello Paolo!
Very interesting shot here Paolo. I like it a lot. Nice POV and perspective. Just for fun I posted a WS, as I believe it would be nice to get rid of uncecessary element . This is just a suggestion.
You would be better working with the original for better results.
Cheers!

This is the peaceful version of the Thin Red Line - which as you may know (to the British anyway) refers to the British Guards in the Crimean Wars - or maybe a number of things! This line of young monks with the tall guy at this end - the posts, fence, road and the windows all aiming at the same vanishing point is just such a clever and well seen composition - excellent work Paulo.

Ciao Paolo,
Ciao e complimenti
Alberto
