Burma Days. On the Postal Boat #3 Photo

Photographer’s Note

During the boat trip from Mandaly to Pagan there were many stops; some of them in "nowhere" place, with anything around.
Irrawaddy during the dry summer season is a very low waters river, so it ran in the midlle of the large river where waters were higher.
The boat cannot went close to the banks and there were a very good service of "boat taxi" that took passengers from the Poastal Boat to the banks.

Ciao Paolo, very nice PoV, gives a nivce view on all the activities on the river, the tilt is nice as well, and the color are so intense.
I'm not sure about that blurred thing at the right, but I guess cropping it off, would make you loose to much of the picture.

Hi Paolo,
I must say this is one of my favorite pictures of yours. What I really like about it is the tilt... the fact that it is not 'straight' and that it was shot from ABOVE - and nobody really notice you.. or looks straight into the camera which for me is not that good of a thing. Also, I like colors. Natural. The only thing that disappoints me just a tiny bit is lack of sharpness. It should be sharper.... and finally, the bar in the right corner - that's another minus of this photo. The bar burst my bubble a little bit but I still like it :)

I like this...the composition especially. The random position of the boat is a very good way to "create" a viewing order as I moved my eyes from top to bottom. An intelligent shot, I must say.

In this one the distortion of the perspective is great! While the near boat is ok, the others in the back tilt. This creates an unusual image and adds dynamic. Despite the scanning could be nicer, and some correction could be made regarding the noise, contrasts and tones, it’s a very good image.

i agree with what was said earlier. the tilt to the photo really adss to it. give a sense of confusion to what appears already to be a hectic jumble of water traffic. Nice pic.
