Photographer's Note

This certainly a very 'regimented' and disciplined novice monks; reminded me in 1971 during my national service army days of a CSM with his men marching single file!

A rather interesting sight taken from bird's eye perspective at the ancient savannah-like Pagan plain. With religion being such an important part of life here, many young people choose to spend some time devoted to Buddhism.

There is a certain mysticism here that flows in and out of the temples. With 1000 year old pagodas surrounding you in every direction at 360o, you can feel the spiritual power in the air. It has become a magnet for Buddhist monks to come and practice their beliefs in the shadows of this great religious sight.
