Among the old ruined stupas and pagodas of Inwa, village life goes on. Its what makes Inwa so attractive to spend longer. The rice is being planted, the soil here was pretty fertile and irrigation was not an issue with the Irrawaddy so close at hand.

Did you go once more to Myanmar? What a place for New Year :). You love this wonderful country. Beautiful view pf the rice field and the people working there. I am always fascinated seeing it. Lovely conical hats. Charming stupa Burmese style. beautiful picture, I like it very much.
And what about your Galapagos trip?

Another trip to Myanmar... I can't believe it!
This country is so vast, you have plenty of new places to discover, no matter how often you return.
This photo is strongly composed, with the stupa imposing presence visually balanced by the group of colourful ladies. I like the feeling of depth provided by the layers of elements from the foreground up to the last row of trees.
The delicate haze in the air is perceptible and conveys a sense of the place, with its typical climate.

The pagoda seems to be new...the light was already harsh at 10 in the morning...can see a bit of haze in the BG. But what makes this picture standout is of course the huddle of farmers...most of whom appear to be ladies. Beautiful DL shot!
Have a great WE Elaine
