Very curious color, the morning-sun colors this temple with a golden shine and gives it an extra aurea.(the 24-70 gives colors an extra punch)

the capture is excellent.. but maybe the golden glow of the sun isjust a little too strong..
i guess if i see this photograph a few more times i'll start liking the glow even more..
not that i dont like it right now. but was just wondering what it would be like with a less glow

and how ummmm ordiary( ? )would this photograph
withought the monk with the umbrella..
all you seem to have got very nice light in your burmese photographs. maybe the next time i'll goto burma in the winters :)
take care

edit: nahhhhhh keep the colours as they are. i like it :)

the roof on that temple is extraordinary. awesome framing of the shot by including the person in the foreground. the sharpness and the colors are quite pleasant. nicely done.

This temple is awsome. And with monk in front one gets the feel of the scale. The strong light is killing the intricate details and patterns of the building. But still one can see influences of various traditions, mostly a portugese influence (I am not sure if portugese ever made into this region). A photograph that could've done well with detailed notes. Otherwise a nice composition.

From teh tumb this looked like just another temple shot, but the monk with the parasol really makes this one sing, well timed.

The thing that I find interesting is that the umbrella is not providing any shade for the monk at all. Are you sure that you didn't ask him to lift it up to provide light on his face?
A very bright photo, thanks.

Good thing I read your comments to Sohrab and Kevin - it's quite beautiful. I want to take you to Morocco - I want to see what you'll make of the colours of Marrakesh!

Beautiful composition and great colours captured here. The monk with the umbrella makes this very special.

Hi Thien,

This is a photo with nice colors and good composition.
