Photographer’s Note
I was fortunate enough to visit Inle lake when the Phaung Daw U Pagoda festival was in progress. During the 18-day long celebration, four revered Buddha images were conveyed to monasteries on the lake in a gilded barge in the shape of the hintha, the golden swan of Burmese legend (here approaching in the background). Over the next few days, I will post more photos taken during this festival.

This is the kind of shot that could appear on a post card from Myanmar...if they did indeed have postcards of the country. It's a classic, beautiful shot, but I think it's really the way you've captured the flag flying above the boat that makes it wonderful. Very nicely done.
