Little floating market Photo

Photographer’s Note

Mainly for political reasons, Myanmar has almost no tourists at this moment. So, when a few tourists appear, everybody wants to talk to them and sell something - that's what happened here. This photo was taken in Inle Lake. When we got to this place, several pirogues came with women wanting to sell handicrafts. In a few seconds,a kind of a little floating market was formed there.

tenho visto tantas belas composições de Myanmar por aqui que me fazer pensar em uma próxima viagem fora do país. Você nos apresenta uma foto que chega quase a ser surreal com aqueles belíssimos templos fazendo o pano de fundo para uma cena de cotidiano. Gosto muito do resultado final. Belíssimo registro!

Hi Anna,
What a fantastic POV, not only a good daily life image showing all the local ladies on the floating market, they see to be having so much fun. You also show us the beautiful temples and stupas in the background. Beautiful light, lovely blue sky, the reflection in the brown river is also very nice. Good or bad, it is one of the nice thing about Myanmar is there are not many tourist. I was here many years back and it was one of my favorite country. I love to go back again one day.

bem interessante essa foto, tanto as contruções ao fundo como os chapéus das moças, e se não fosse por essas diferenças, poderia facilmente a imagem se passar por uma cena da Amazônia brasileira. Bela foto.

a very nice and pleasant snapshot with all these native women to try to sell their goods to the tourists.But the most i like in this scene is the decades of the temples that exists on the background.Fascinating!

Olá Anabela, de alguma maneira isso reverteu a teu favor pois o mercado flutuante faz um belíssimo 1º plano para o cenário de sonho que se vê lá atrás. As tuas fotos reforçam a ideia que eu tenho de Myanmar ser um país incrivelmente bonito. O tipo no canto ficou um pouco no caminho mas as duas mulheres em acção a seguir ficaram muito bem.

Maybe politics is a reason but September is also the low tourist season, and tourism is down in every place in the world due to crisis!
You found a nice scene here with interesting action in the FG and a beautiful BG with all these stupas. Nicely framed too.

É notável a forma de comercializar em embarcações tipo canoa. ( Eu que fiz canoagem sei bem o que é estar horas sentado ). Mas já de si os orientais se dão bem nas diversas maneiras de sentar. No aspecto de turismo passeios pelo rio devem dar uma boa fonte de receitas. Bons guias são sempre bem recompensados. A cor da água mostra bem o nível de poluição. Cumprimentos. Domingos

Something I don't think I've seen a picture of...a small floating market with a fine backdrop of those small stupas. The muddy river, the simmering reflections of the stupas..very nice picture juxtaposing daily life with architecture

Maravillosa fotografia llena de luz, color y vida. El primer plano con todas esas mujeres vendiendo desde sus barcas y el magnifico fondo de pagodas es un sueño. Tu foto me trae maravillosos recuerdos de mi viaje por este pais, precioso por sus construcciones y paisajes, pero inolvidable por sus gentes.

Que cenário magnífico, esta profusão de templos brancos, com detalhes dourados, uma arquitetura muito interessante. Os barcos das vendedoras humaniza a paisagem (embora perturbe um pouco os turistas). Excelente ângulo de captura, boa profundidade, lindas cores e excelente luz.

Dear Ana,

It's difficult to select a picture from your gallery, I like most of them. So finally I settled for this one. It's a beautiful photograph, the market boats with the women in the FG and at the other side of the river the pagodas in all shapes and sizes. It looks like a place out of this world, all the making of the Junta. Perfect light management produced vibrant color hues with fine sharpness. Well done

There are also two World in this picture - the spiritual one at the other shore, the materialistic one in the foreground and both of them are separated by a river.
