Photographer’s Note
The General Secretary of United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, is disappointed to return empty-handed of Myanmar. He criticized on Saturday the Burmese military junta which refused to him to meet the opponent Aung San Suu Kyi, at present judged to have broken the rules of her house arrest.
In a speech in Rangoon, Ban Ki-moon announced its " profound disappointment " at the conclusion of its visit of 48 hours in the country. He also deeply blamed the Burmese authorities for their contempt of the rights of the person and for their refusal for freeing the political prisoners.

Salut Didier,
Superbe photo !

As always...
In the picture my favourite is the guy in background with the sleeveless shirt, the kind we call a "marcelleke" in Flanders;-)
With hope and anger.

Salut Didier

Amicalement,
José

Hello Didier,
The motion blur of the image really bring out focus to her face, she has that hopeful looks and the sparkle in the eyes. the color of hte fabric is nice and bright. Such beautiful people with such a hardlife yet they remain cheerful and happy trying to do the best. I would love to see some changes for the Burmese people in my life time. thanks

Hello Didier,

Superbe image. Félicitations.
Bonne journée

hello Didier,
the composition is very strong, as others have noted, the motion blurr and bright colours work very well to frame the woman's face and focus our attention on it. that goes well with your note - focus on the person in the crowd. great shot, my compliments.
best,
Kristine

Hi Didier,
I like the idea how her face comes sharp out of the colorful surrounding. The gathering of orange, purple, green, white and grey are so beautiful. But somehow, i feel a bit distracted by the dominance of blur. Motion blur and bokeh have almost conquered the frame, and the orange cloth, as being the definite center of attraction colorwise and areawise, steals the role from the portrait, even though you made the focus on the face.
Cheers,
Deniz

Very good portrait! The expression of the woman lies between hope and fear.
Some years ago I was in Myanmar and I was depply impressed by the people in this country. How they cope with the poor conditions they have to live in.
So let's all hope for a better future for them!

Hello Didier
Pierre.

Hello Didier, When I first looked at this I thought the the orange was a distraction but no, this combined with the expression make a very emotional and powerful portrait. Well composed and very appropriate to illustrate your emotional note.
Thank you

Bonsoir Didier,
When I was looking to see if you had posted sunny day photos of the horse show, I came across this very moving portrait. The depth of feeling and honestly in her eyes is painful.
SAJ to this incredible woman,
pat
