Photographer’s Note
A man, praying in Yangon's St. Mary Cathedral...
Freedom of religion in thispredominantly Buddhist country is maybe the only one the people have there. You can see many churches and mosques as well as Buddhist pagodas.

Hi Laurent,
A nice sentiment on this image. Good use of depth of field here to focus on the praying man, and he is well placed off centre so we can still see details of the church behind.

Hello Laurent,
A real tragedy that hopefully will never happen again. The image is well composed with a strong meaning of faith. Good perspective with the man against the camera and the altar blurred. Good light and colours. Thanks Laurent.

Hi Laurent!
My heart is with these poor people but not with the members of this rotten, ignorant government.
I know this church only from outside.Good composition from indoorswith this praying man.

Beautifully done, Laurent,
it is just unimaginable what those poor people have suffered. A wonderful tribute and a lovely photo. I love the POV and the man's bowed head in clear focus against the softer details of the front of the church. Marvelous light and color. This is just superb. Many thanks and kindest wishes,
Shelly

Bonsoir Laurent,
A beautiful photo for the people of Myanmar. The mood you captured here is wonderful. The praying man is very well included on the right hand side and the light management of the inside of the church is excellent. Very good photo work!

bonjour Laurent

Hi Laurent!
Great homage to these people. I've just seen again on TV, so many dead people. Hard to imagine how the country is at the moment.
You have chosen a good photo for this moment. I like it with the man in foreground and the church in the blurred background.

Hi Laurent
Two things which make this captivating, the off-centre placement of the praying man & the shallow DOF, but not too shallow for us to see the church interiors in the BG. IMO, your exposure control is excellent as well!
Best Regards

Salut Lan

Salut mon cher Laurent

Jean-Charles
