I put this one as transportation because it's a public transport classic in Yangon, a national passtime : Waiting for the bus. Even the dogs play this game.
As you see, Yangon streets are not heavily jammed with traffic, unlike other Asian megacities... Although this is a very popular avenue going from the central temple to the ferry harbor.
The beauty of the town comes from the decayed colonial buildings and that ubiquitous green color : either watercolor green, like these walls, or deep foliage green, which is also the color of the old chevrolet buses, looking very similar to turtles on wheels.

This is a very nice everyday scene, Luko--dogs and kids. But the worn walls, the sidewalk restaurant, and the boys' long flowing pants say clearly that it's very different from the "dogs and kids" scenes that we're used to in OUR everyday life. Very well seen, nice composition. Regards, Ken.

Colorized version of Erwitt's dogography;-)
All, including dog looking in the same direction, is the bus coming? can I cross the street now?
The humaniziation of animal is the strongest aspect of the image, surround it with superb deep colours, dreamy-greeny building, nice composition and the result is a splendid image, loving every aspect of it.

i loved the range of the photograph here.. top tp bottom.. a true example of vertical image.. it makes us something more curious that at what everybody is looking, ( including the Dog, hehehe )... makes a tension in the image.. great one indeed.

Great photo, Luko! I like the composition, there's a nice balance to it. Also interesting detail: the texture & color of the wall, the group of people, the dog's patchy fur. Well done on capturing a very interesting image! Regards,

Elle est marrante cette photo. Le chien qui regarde dans la même direction que les humains. L’attitude générale des acteurs et l’absence de véhicules passant sur la route donnent une impression de grand calme. J’aime beaucoup le travail effectué sur les couleurs. Christophe

Gorgeous colurs and a ver rare site an Asia city with no traffic. Great mood with the dog and all the patient locals waiting at the bus stop.
Note to self must get to Myanmar/Burma soon

Hi Luko, at the moment I am busy planning my next trip to Burma, so this just jumped out at me.
I love the ramshackle feel of the shot the peeling colonial buildings the flowing garmets of the people and even the dog looks a bit moth-eared. I also like how laid back and relaxed the people look. Nice atmosphere you convey.

Excellent compo of dof in front and ppl as background. the colours are nice especially that of the old building and the skin of the dog. it's not a dramatic moment but a beautiful moment in life and it's real.good job,

this is nice.. but i wonder if you also caught their.. next reaction..
it's as if they're all watching something exciting taking place..
so this makes me curious.. whether the next scene is a climatic one or an anticlimatic one..
take care :)

Superb color, Luko! The dog has an almost antelope-like grace, and the people are framed very nicely under the arch.

the colors are really nice here. the high contrast has an interesting feel to it. everyone facing the same direction really adds ot the shot overall. It feels as if there is anticipation in the air, and if they are waiting on a bus then indeed it is.
I like the line that is created from the dog to the waiting people. very nice and my eye seems to do exactly what you want it to.

love this shot luko, the faded colour and texture of the wall and the people behind, the dog poised inquisitively , just fantastic.

Hi Luko. I saw this the other day and meant to comment on it, but got tied up. I am not sure if it is strange or not, but I love this shot. Somehow this really ties in with not only Myanmar, but all of SE Asia, including Taiwan. This kind of dog just seems so ubiquitous everywhere. Secondly, I really like your colors. Reminds me of the cheap n cheerful Fuji Superia200 I used to shoot; I always liked the colors of that film. I do think your processing has left a little bit of a halo around the dog, but it doesn't bother me too much. Anyways, I think it is almost strange that I like this shot quite as much as I do, but there you have it; I like it.

le fétichiste du vert a encore frappé ! ;-)
Content que tu recommences à poster des images de ce coin du monde.
Excellente cette compo avec de très belles teintes.
Très fort comme tout le monde regarde dans la même direction.

10 + 1 dog waiting for this bus. Very good idea with your composition. Very good eye. You are like "MARKSMAN" you are know when you are should make a shot exactly. "Beautiful" wall in the background. Great pictures.

Fine shot, Luko. I was (I am sure) in that same spot over the last few days but I really like the original POV here, basically that of a dog.
The winning tuch here is how the beast looks backin the same dorectuions as all those guys on the other side. The ovely decayed greens don't hurt either :o)
Agree with every word in your note...
