The Shwedagon pagoda in Rangoon city is almost like a small city. There are many shrines and halls and stupas. This collection of gold-plated Budhas at one of the shrines caught my eye. I think it's a bit busy with the flowers in the lower right corner, but I'm running out of scanned images.

Excellent lighting and colours, Eva. The Budhas on the right almost feel lifelike. Well seen.
I wonder if cropping to the left of the large pillar and enlarging the image slightly, would have shown greater detail in the beautifully engraved pillar.

Good result for difficult lighting conditions.

Good pic of the Buddhas - personally I'd have used one of the moer saturated/warmer films for this, to bring out the golds more. This is 1983! - Have you been back more recnetly? I was there in November/December last year (2004), would love to go again...want to make a date?
