Photographer’s Note
Going up the Lemro river from Mrauk U is the occasion to discover Chin villages. Chin are most well known for the spider web tattoos on women's faces. This tradition is now disappearing and young girls only wear thanaka and lipstick like every other burmese girls. Here in a very small charming school.

Hi Vincent!
Great to see more uploads of Myanmar! This photo has a lovely fresh and vibrant look. Great skin tones! And of course the kids are so endearing! I have been back in Canada only one week.....still missing Asia! This photo is a treat. Cheers,
Steve

A charming photo Vincent. It's funny how nearly all of them have their arms crossed in almost exactly the same way!
It's the girl on the right in the foreground who really holds the attention, and I kind of wish she was more dominant in the frame, rather than the bigger girl next to her.
Good work though.
Cheers,
Ben

Some wonderful faces here you have captured here in this small school. Your note lends a lot to the photo, and how lucky you are to explore these areas and meet such beauty. Very nicely done!

Bonjour Vincent

Hi Vincent,
beautiful children and a goodn composition.
The result of your long aperture time and the incoming light is really good.
The blurred backgound with those highlights is very interesting.

great spontaneous photo Vincent, the way they sit arms folded, straight back, its how my old headmistress told us to sit. I know this school we visited there last year also, at which time the children sung for us.

Bonjour Vincent,
Jean-Charles

Bonjour Vince,
Another really beautiful shot of the Brumese children in school, the tanaka paste on their face is a signiture and really cute with the different design they have. A good daily life image and good to see they have the chance to be educated. Thanks and have a wonderful day.

Hi Vincent
Excellent use of a shallow dof on the group of Burmese girls. Interesting make up on their faces. The diffused light works well here. Merci et amities!

Quite a fine portrait with a proper soft light and a good framing of his group of children. The small girls are really charming and I wander why they use lipstic and the other "drawings" in the face. Is that a tribal mark?
The sharpness is excellent too, even at ISO 1000, your camera is really smart!
Best greetings,
Donato

hello Vincent

Great shot and note. The glitter from their makeup contrasts with the brown colours of their skin and background.

Salut Vincent,
Amicalement,
José
