Hi Elaine!
In Mrauk U it`s worth to put the alarm clock at 6 am even when you are on vacation.Your great shot is the reward, but not only the photo ,it`s the moment to be there and enjoy this unique view.
You framed this view very nice with the silhouettes of these branches.
Oh,I have to go there again..and I`m sure I will do so some day.
Best regards to you and Keith from cold and grey Geramny,
Leo

Hello Elaine
This is simply a superb landscape photo. It's moments like this that make getting up early worth the effort eh?
The overall view and the composition looks great. The landscape in itself is beautiful, but with the added fog clinging to the deeper areas of the land this place looks almost magical.
Lovely framing effect with the vegetation in the foreground.
Thank you for sharing.

Elaine,
Myanmar is one of the most picturesque places I have ever been to. I was there about 7 years ago. No matter in the country side or in the city. There’s always photo opportunity. Many posted on this site are just beautiful. Many of them are from you. So far this is one my favorite. There's a sense of tranquility about it. You captured the morning fog very well. The trees in the foreground provide a really nice frame. It’s too bad for the people there because of political situation. I would love to go back one day.

I don't think I can get tired of seeing photos from here with the beautiful morning mist. Glad you woke up early to capture this, so you can show us here on TE, who havne't been lucky enough to visit Myanmar.

Dreamy place, pictured many times on TE but always so pleasant to look at. You got fantastic golden light on the vegetation in the foreground which makes such a nice natural framing to this fantastic landscape. I am planning to get there soon, if I can make time I hope to get there in March and stay a week in Mrauk'U to discover it at the right pace.

Dag Elaine,
Prettig weekend, Henk

Hello Ellaine,
Sometimes I look at the number of times an image is viewed, and the points it has received. At the moment I am writing this critique, 18/101 (or approximately 0.2 points per viewing.) It is preposterously low for a truly magnificent and magical image. In the language of the United States, you have "hit a home run." I wish I could award 4 or 6 or 8 points. The composition and perspective, light and shadows, the sharp resolution of the foreground and the amorphous shapes in the fog — all collaborate to make this one of the finest images in TE. I plan to take this among my favorites, as soon as I can open some space. Meanwhile, here is an image of Mrauk shot by Andreas (Leo 61)
Bravo!

Hi Elaine, Welcome back! I was waiting for you to post the fist photo and as often, waiting has been rewarded. Quit a first post you present us here, so mystical and beautiful. The image fills the viewer with the air you must have been breathing in. It makes me regret even more that I have not made it out there. Lovely shot and thank you for letting me escape in some dreams. Hope you had an enjoyable and safe trip. Sabine

Dear Elaine
No matter how many shots of Mrauk U I see, I feel the same attraction towards this place as I had when I saw the first picture. This is an original IMO because of your framing. The picture beyond, of the stupas, the fog, the pastel colour tone, the layers is like a dreamscape, only fit to be framed with foliage bathed in early morning light as you’ve done here. A classical scene, without the human touch, something we normally do not see in your pictures, but then this cannot be done in any other way. Exquisite!
Best Regards
Angshu

C'est une vue classique mais très bien réussie ! J'aime comme tu as utilisé les branches en guise de cadre, cela apporte une élégance certaine à ta composition...
