[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This quiet peaceful scene was taken just a few months ago, a fisherman passes his time making castles in the sand. Today the coast of Burma is devasted and at the last report 10000 people have lost their lives to the cyclone that ripped through the country this last weekend. Homes have been destroyed as easy as these castles made of sand were with the first wave.
Just spare a thought for what is going on there tonight!!

Hi Elaine!
A nice surealistic castle of sand and a good composition with the boy and the boats in the distance.
Yes I`m very sad hearing the news from Burma, yesterday the news (CNNasia) told of 240 killed people ,now more than 10.000 and it will become more and more hearing that about 2.5 million people lost their home.....Allways the most poor people of the world.
Regards,Leo

Hi Elaine,
I've never been there in Myanmar, but I'm very sorry about the bad news.
A beautiful image about the man at the beach and his creativity.
Nino

a perfect POV and framing of this castle, the man and the BG landscape,
regards
jo

Dag Eliane,
Zandkastelen bouwen, wat mooi. Maar nog mooier is je kadering en het licht wat je hier hebt gehad. Alles klopt precies in deze opname, het spel met licht en schaduw, maar ook de scherpte en detailering van het geheel...heel mooi.
Groetjes, Henk

Life seems so peaceful over there, the small waves quietly reach the shore. And yet.... a big disaster again for Myanmar. beautiful picture.
