This is Ngapali beach ,close to Thandwe.
Every morning the women put these small fishes on these blue nets for drying.
Photo is taken late afternoon ,collecting the fish again.
Look at the lips of the girl in the center,she is wearing lipstick.If you ever go there bring some cheap ones with you,the girls will love you!!!
The late afternoon light there is magic and a photographers delight.

I like the elegance of these women, their movements are full of grace despite the fact that they seems to be carrying a big weight.

Cette photo est très dynamique avec ces couleurs et les femmes au travail. Le filet bleu crée un parterre insolite. Heureusement que ta note explique la présence du filet et le travail effectué.

wirklich schön! Ja, das warme Abendlicht war auch immer das was ich wollte als ich in USA war. Das Licht hat hier wirklich super geholfen, wenn die Farben ohne PP auskommen, dann kann man viel über das Licht aussagen. Super Komposition und wie schon gesagt klasse Farben!

On a l'impression que parfois notre appareil photo n'en fait qu'à sa guise et décide brutalement de "chauffer" les couleurs. Finalement, le résultat est très plaisant et, ta belle composition aidant, donne une très belle image.

Yes, I've noticed the women in Myanmar loved lipsticks...I've seen young girl wearing it too!
A well timed capture of the women carrying fish(?) and on the left side, one carrying a bamboo. light is great and the colors are nicely saturated.

Hi Leo, yes that burmese golden light a photographers dream. Hardworking yet elegant - I wish the woman in the green wasnt there though.
(When do you go to India and where? I cannot go to Burma this year but will be in India at the end of Jan.)

Magic light as you say, Leo, and a hive of activity which you have captured well within the confines of your framing. The late afternoon light has provided lovely saturation of the colours (we can tell you have not bumped up the saturation in PP because those blue tarpaulins start jumping out of the frame the moment you push the slider past +2 or +3) and the DOF is perfect despite the long focal length. First time I have seen a village woman in Myanmar wearing lipstick! Cheers . . . David
