On a trip outside Rangoon to find the war cemetery where my maternal grandfather is memorlialized my ride stopped at a few roadside stalls including this pottery maker.
There is a lot of controversy about visiting Myanmar and lots of clamour for a boycott so the military junta is not suppported financially. I think most of my money went to everyday people like this...so I feel fine with the decision to visit.

I like your tight zoom on the lad and his concentration on his work. The flash reflection from the clay doesn't bother me, in fact it emphasises that the clay is still wet. The top left is too bright though and I think it's that that unbalances the image a little bit. Well done though!

This pic is all about high dynamics and I have the feeling that you captured it very well. The boys gaze and his gesture with his hands/ fingers is just superb. Extremely well captured. I guess that the light conditions weren't very easy, so you had to make use of flash. It is pretty nice that the flash is very focused on the pot and the fingers.
Superb decisive moment.
It's very sad that kids all over the world are still required to work in order to sustain the family's income.

I like those scenes of working people and you took it quite tight framed in an excellent way to spot everything out well. I think your flash was reflected in the wet pot, maybe it was still possible to clone it out a bit ....
