The Shwesandaw Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda in the center of Pyay, Burma. It is one of the more important Buddhist pilgrimage locations in Burma. It is said to contain a couple of the Buddha's hairs, as its name means Golden Hair Relic. It is one meter taller in height than Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon.

I like how you managed the light in this picture so the view behind the window got the same exposure as the statue inside. The lace like pattern offers very pleasant framing for the gold temple and works also as a decorative detail of the composition. The statue in the corner sets good foreground.

In 1997 I've also visited this wonderful country with its very friendly inhabitants.
This is a well thought-out composition.
Splendid combination of the Buddha figure inside with the golden stupas.
Very beautifully executed!
Best regards, Paul
