Wonderful image. I love the tonal range. It looks as if you have burned the sky and I can see a bit of a halo effect around the man. Otherwise.... I love the dark tones, composition and feeling of the image

The composition is fantastic, with the strong diagonals of the oars and the near-symmetry of the interesting cloud-pattern and the row of trees and structures. The light is almost surreal but this is countered by the subject's grounding expression. One of my favourite shots.

Amazing work! The composition and the choice of b/w are great. The lighting is also wonderful.

Very effective B&W shot, I like your view angle and this guy expression, great tone, well done.
Technically this is a fine photo with clean lines and composition, but the expression on the boatman's face puts me off. Sooo, I did a workshop and got rid of it. Please indulge me Ian.

Very nice. The boatmans detached expression is different. It's well suited to B/W, the only criticism I can think of is the compression level seems to be a little high and there are some jpeg artifacts visible. Good work!

Good daily life photo. If you place the subject at the center, the left side could have included full in the frame and that make everything balance out. Anyway, you have captured the live action of the river taxi man.

Hey, I don't believe that about the halo: the sun is to the right, and slightly behind you - look at his shadow, look at the clouds. Are you sure you didn't dodge the face with an oversized brush? Anyway, I like the composition. I don't go for Curtis's decapitation...

This is really nice, but was the sun really behind him? From the shadows in the frame I'd say the opposite was true. It looks more like the halo is a result of burning in the sky. Am I wrong?
