Shwezigon Pagoda in Bagan.

Shwezigon is one monument among the four main significant buildings of Bagan. Shwezigon was built as the most important reliquary shrine in Bagan, a centre of prayer and reflection for the new Theravada faith King Anawarahta had established in Bagan. The pagoda is standing between the village of Wetkyi-in and Nyaung U. It is a beautiful pagoda and was commenced by King Anawrahta but not completed until the reign of King Kyanzittha (1084-1113). King Kyanzittha was thought to have built his palace nearby

How did you manage to have no people in front of you?
Good shot of this amazing pagoda.The golden tones contrast well with the grey foreground and the sky.

Amazing clarity and sharpness here, I love it. I always love any image from Burma but this one is really great in quality. Maybe not the most compelling compositionally, but the quality is superb and well manage light and color balance. The grayish sky really bring out the gold in the Stupa. Very good work, appreciate it. Thanks.

Un buen angulo para tomar la pagoda desde la esquina y asi poder ver dos caras de tan magnifico monumento, te ha quedado muy nitida y luminosa a pesar de ese cielo amenazador que por otra parte ofrece un bonito contraste.
