Everyone saw the disaster that cyclone Nargis caused in Myanmar now...
Up to 100 000 dead and a million have been rendered homeless and have lost everything they had... We can only hope one day this great people will know peace, happiness and safety... Here a small floating village in Inle lake, far from the delta region where the disaster happened....

Hello laurent,

Beautiful reflections and what a place to live! I imagine the houses are built high because of the rain or flooding in this area. Excellent image with very good details and light. The reflections balance the image well and add an interesting focal point. Nice work.

Salut Laurent,

Hello Laurent. I am pleased to see again a beautiful picture of the Inle lake. The photo is very natural. The reflection works outstanding. The photo has also documentary worth. Outstanding. Best regards, Wolfgang.

A lovely shot of the villages huts on stilts, floating over the water. The reflections are really interesting throughout the shot, and the framing is spot on.
Cheers!

Salut Laurent,
the people that have in these wooden houses with the thatched roofs live in better conditions than the others in the Tongle lake in Cambodia. Now i understand the huge disaster that is caused to these poor human been from the cyclone Nargis. What a pity for this totalitarian disaster.Your photo with these superb reflections will remind us how nice the life was in this small floating village in Inle lake.

Have a nice weekend,danos

Hi Laurent. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of Myanmar. I just hope the authorities there will let the rest of the world help. Your photo shows a wonderful calm that our television does not at the moment. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Laurent,
Let's hope international aid comes fast for this country and that the junta will accept those aid.
Your picture shows the beauty of Myanmar in a way we mostly see, serene and peaceful. Your pov from the side but alsot he reflection is wonderful...i like it.
Regards, Henk

bonjour Laurent

Hi Laurent. This is a fine composition showing how vulnerable houses on the delta appear. The setting and cropping are both very good and make a tranquil scene, before the storm. tfs. Murray.

Salut Laurent

Hi Laurent,
Wonderful photo of the floating houses. I like the houses, they look so delicate. Impressive note of yours. It is so sad when you learn that place you know is struck with tragedy and even does not exist any more. Thanks for sharing

Hi Laurent

Hi Laurent,
really nice shot of the village.
Indead it is a desaster about the cyclone and even worse is how the junta is coping with the situation.
Have a nice weekend,
Nino.

Salut Laurent,

Marianne

Hi Laurent,

it's a plesant image...that kind we would like to see from Myanmar. You found an interesting point for shooting. The relfection was well managed. Top quality sharpness and exposure control are the final touch. I'm really sorry for all those people. Sad for our history, the worst for who is there suffering this natural catastrophe and for the stupid government.
Regards,
Carlos

Olá Laurent,

I like the reflections and colours colours.Excellent composition, very nice colors, and sharpness. Pretty and very interesting postcard of Myanmar >> Shan

Laurent,
the beauty of this shot doesn't reflect at all what the people of Myanmar have to go through with their more than despicable political leadership. Even with all the international aid coming to help the people there is little hope that they really will get it.

Salut Laurent

Hello Laurent,
What a wonderful shot of this floating village,.
The reflections are great and they create a nice symmetry here.
Lovely soft colours too.

Salut Laurent,

Did you get any opportunity to visit disaster area affected by cyclone Nargis? News are very sad as you know.

Your photo shows local conditions and their solutions building their house only using thin wooden columns that seems they are note enough strong. Your frame is in excellent clarity and sharpness with natural colors, reflection as a photograph. Congratulations, and hope they can recover their aches shortly. Hope you were safe too during the cyclone.

Bonjour Laurent,
