Photographer’s Note

I spent 6 nights at Inle lake and only one morning the fog dissappeared early.
My chance to take some shots in the morning "blue hour".
I hope you like it.
What looks so tranquil,is not.You see the boats in the distance,motorboats,the most common kind of transportation, for goods and tourists.
They are very noisy and run the whole day.They are not allowed to drive between 11 pm and 5 am.I stayed 2 night at a resort direct at the lake and I could hear them after midnight too.
Another problem caused by the motorboats is erosion.The waves cause a lot of damages at the shores of the many little canals.

I was saddened to read in your notes that the tranquility is not all that it seems. Do tourists really need to get around so fast that the locals end up destroying the very thing they have come to see. This man and his canoe may well become a distant memory.

Hi Andreas, the first feeling by this image was 'tranquility' but from your note i learn that the reality is very different.

This image brings me happiness and the note brings sadness in knowing about the disturbing motor boats.

Another classic image from Inle. Perfect compostion and great sharpness. Love the reflection on the water. Is it a hazzy day? Maybe a little over compensated with the light, it seems a bit too dark and not enough brightness and contrast.

belle photo de ce pêcheur qui sur sa pyrogue va pecher avec son filet ou sa nasse.
Belle couleurs et bonne netteté, même des reflets superbe sur cette eau juste un peu agitée sous ce bateau.

Gerade aus dem Urlaub zurückgekommen, zum ersten Mal seit 2 Wochen wieder in TE und sogleicht dieses schöne neue Foto entdeckt. Fototechnisch scheint es wirklich perfekt zu sein, super farben, gute Belichtung, schöne Perspektive, gute Tiefe... Die Spiegelung ist ein klasse Detail! Die Szene bringt mich, wie so einige andere Bilder von dir, wirklich zum Staunen. Bewundernswert!
