Photographer’s Note
Some fish for Good Friday, or
where is the cat?
Seen at the morning market in Nyaung Shwe.
The market is daily there but only one day a week many more people come there and offer there goods.
There are many markets around Inle lake and there is a rotationg system.
Original photo, only cropped and a frame added

A great daily life shot, Andreas. The 'search the cat' game is nice, but my favourite part of the picture is the cheroot!
Also: thanks to this lady for reminding me of your wonderful Myanmar gallary. Great work on one of my favourite destinations!

Gruss, Nino.

Hi, Leo. I've found the cat, he's a clever one ;o). The fish look great on the palm leaves and the woman in her bright garments contrasts well with the display. A nice daily life scene.

The person’s infinite looking and holding the cigarette conveys a king of sadness or dream about a better life. Or, is it because I know what is going on in Burma? For the cat, was he having breakfast?!!! Your picture is excellent with good colours and a great POV. Well done.

Bonjour Andreas,
Beautiful composition with these fishes silvered on the leaves of banana tree (?).
A very attractive almost uniform grey bottom which contrast sharply with the colors of baskets and jacket of this woman.
Congratulations,
Have a nice day

LOL - someone certainly knows how to get close and stay
unnoticed!
Beautiful scene with a local fishmonger doing her trade
on the street - even from the distance one can tell
that the fish is the freshest one can get!
I suppose these are banana leaves underneath the fish?

Hallo Andreas. Hervorragend. Viele Grüße, Wolfgang.

Mingalaba Leo
I was in Nyaung Shwe last week and your photo send me back there ;D You have framed well this daily life scene with the woman smoking the cheeroot while waiting for the customers. All the elements are well placed and exposed. I like the color tonalities too.
Cheers

Hi Andreas,
Very harmonic colours here, the bluish-pink against the green leaves (banana?) is very attractive. What kinds of fish are those?

andreas: your Burmese gallery is easily my favorite - your really brought back a plethora of images from that venture - so many are good - it's interesting to view the less popular of this fine series. regards, c
