Ciao Leo,
minimalistic image, very nice title.
Great scene captured. Beautiful soft tones
Anna

beautiful minimal composition, excellent framing, the pose captured is elegant, just beautiful :)

jo

If I had to choose it would be the vertical WS, but I dont have to choose I can enjoy both canvases. They really do resemble more a water-painting then a photo.
Have a nice weekend Leo.

Hi Adreas,
the original is the best !
Cheers Christian

Hi, Leo. The light was difficult here but I think you managed to create a very nice atmosphere, which makes your picture look like a Japanese etching. The fisherman's silhouette is very elegant and I like the lines made by his body and the boat. The other boat faintly appearing in the distance gives a good depth to the image.

what can I say: jus great one!

Superb capture, Andreas. Both foggy and sunny! I love its minimalism and the way you cropped the original one.

Fusun

What unusual light and you have captured it very well. I think you made the right choice for main post, as including the more distant boat in the background was a wise idea. The pose of the fisherman is like a ballet. well captured.
Kath

Hello Andreas,

A truly memorable image with an appropriate name. The gentle silhouette of the fisherman in his dugout against the misty horizon makes this a compelling photograph. The subtle vision of a second fisherman in the distance suggests that this practice is not unique, the fisherman ply their trade in precisely this manner, standing on the sterns of their dugouts, presumably in exceedingly shallow water.

Warm regards,

Bulent

Hello Andreas,
a very artistic image, with a superb mood, all in light despite the fog, great moment you caught, the tonality is very beautiful, could be a painting too...I do find the original excellent too. For my very personal taste a white frame with a very think black line inside would be sufficient.

Hello Andreas,
So nice photo full of sweetness and delicacy. A big moment of poetry.
You perfectly worked according to the original. It is very interesting to have posted it.
Have a nice sunday
Diane

Ciao Leo, das würde ich wirklich gerne grossformatig an einer Wand sehen. Kommt bestimmt gut. Der Minimalismus, die Reduktion auf das wesentliche, gefällt mir sehr. Liebe Grüsse, Nino.

Your latest posts are real marvels, this one I like in particular, the figure balancing on one leg is priceless, looks like an Eastern painting indeed...

Cheers
Alexander

Your latest photos from SE Asia are all fine, Leo, but this one grabbed my attention in particular for its unique beauty. Composition is simple and elegant. Monochromaticity works well, esp. with the shade of gray. Regards,
Hakan

Hallo Leo,
Fantastic! An image of beautiful visual impact. I prefer the one you've posted as principal. A very artistic composition, motion and softness very pleasant to the eyes.
Thanks for sharing,

Very poetic picture. I like the minimalism, you realized this so well. There is such a sting sian feeling here. Congratulations.

Hello Andreas

a superb minimmalist composition in which you've been able to successfully take advantage of reather adverse conditions.

Congratulations

Emmanuel

A very nice realization, simple in apparence only but yet very expressive. There is a subtle effect on the water to make a difference with the sky. The black silhouette over a neutral backgound reminds me of the Japanese phothgrapher Ueda who I discovered just recently at an exhibition.

All the best,

Emmanuel

Hello Andreas,
The minimalistic look and almost monotone look of the photo turns it into a very attractive one. This character seems to be dancing in his boat lost in the middle of the early morning mist.
Really good job!
Cheers,
Paulo

Hi Andreas,

I love this shot for its minimalism. Not much is needed to create excellent composition of great ambiental feeling. This two silhuettes, one closer and one in a distance give great sense of air atmosphere where water continues into the sky without clear border. Sun is strong and creates sparkles, indeed very moody, very impressive. My compliments to get so much out of so little. That's art!

Kind regards,
Jeri

I agree with Jeri - this IS art. amazing how strong such a minimalistic image can be, I keep thinking about "the sound of silence" - the right expression to describe this shot. I like a lot the shimmering water and how it contrasts with the soft blanket of the fog. excellent photo, Leo, my compliments.

with kind regards,
Kristine
