It was a hot afternoon in Myanmar. I was riding a bike around Nyaungshwe, a little village at the north of Inle Lake. As I was riding through a very little village, a woman got out of her house and stopped my course. She wanted me to go in her house, and that was not optional!
I got in, she was making cheroots (the burmese cigars) for a living, her mother was there, her sister in law too... I sat on a bench, they offered me a green tea and a cigar, and we started talking. After a while I took pictures, I stayed something like two hours with them, and after that, they told me they were so happy that I stopped by...
It was a great moment, good memories.
This photo is the third of this serie about making cheroots.

Bon week end, Aline

i love the lens, any large aperture is always inviting and plays on the photographers/authors mind. it tempts and challenges us, i have not tried still like yet, just people with my 1.4 now. sometime soon.
i liked the note and the contact you made, they are more fulfilling than a digital image, isnt it. well a print is tangible and more worthy. nice image but i think the f is too large. if you are talking about the cigar, we should see more of it as the main element.

i like people, and their works - that show they use their brains.... and this image is an evidence that you not only saw the things, but you also contemplated them....
best wishes, jerzy

Nice closeup of the hands making cheroot. Nice warm colors and good composition with perfect timing. The skin texture is very well collected.
Have a nice time

It's first of all about the "photography".
I like it a lot.
Best regards. Grazyna.
