Photographer’s Note
My 200th from Myanmar shows a temple about 500 meters south of Nyaung Shwe, the main village at Inle lake.
It was about 6:30 am and very foggy but suddenly the sun appeared for a few minutes.
Strong backlight, not easy to manage and I tried different camera settings.
This one is taken with a sunsetfilter.

Guten Abend, Andreas!

Andreas: the spooky feel of your filter gives this one something of a Kipling story. Congrats here - on both volume and quality. Too bad TE has become an unrestrained advertising portal. best, c

Lieber Leo!
Krass, was du mit diesem Sunset Filter eingefangen hast!

Hallo Andreas,
With the filter effect it looks like the last apocalyptic dream of Kim Jong Il... But it is with no doubt spectacular, a view from another planet !
Have a nice day JY

Wonderful picture and congratulations with your 200th post of a splendid view on something fascinating in wonderful Myanmar !
I like the composition very much. Also the reflections, the plants in the water on the foreground and the red clouds in the yellow sky, specially in the upper left corner.

Oh Mann,

Hello Leo,
Magnificent image for this nice celebration which is very representative of the beauty of this country.
The sunset filter which I am usually not fond of is here perfectly adapted.
The clouds in the sky and the nice reflection are forming a wonderful atmosphere.
Congratulations for this great work and let us have of word, for the occasion, hoping that this beautiful country will finally obtain the peace and happiness it deserves.
Have a nice day.

so 200 from from Myanmar, quite something. What an excellent image to choose for the occasion. I never use filters and am completely ignorant about their uses and values, but i imagine its the fliter here thats transforms this into what i can only call an image from an old history book from the Raj or colonial times. Super!

Hallo Andreas,
Normally i'm not that fond of that filter, but have to admit it works in this one very good. It gives that mood that we would like to see here and because the whole image looks soft and smooth it was a nice option to use to filter and see how it works....and it did.
F2.8 is a strange number here, but on this small size it's not that visible. Like your square framing and the way how you placed the pagodas inside the composition.
Take care,
Henk

Hello Leo!
200 only from Myanmar!!! Wow!!! Congratulations!
That's a very special picture indeed! I've already seen this place in other pictures here at TE (maybe some of them taken by you) and it's always a good pleasure to see it again, mainly when the quality is excellent just like in this case! The color has set fire all over the image and the silhouettes and details of all the elements smartly and beautifully composing this picture have truly created something very attractive to be seen and enjoyed!

It felt strange when I first saw this picture. You mean you have this filter in your camera? The place is fairytale-ish anyway & the filter heightens the feeling. Another fantastic shot from Myanmar, in fact almost all your shots from there has been of very high quality
