For all its pomp and colour, I can imagine that it is quite scary for the young boys to leave their families and enter into the monastery.
These two boys were good friends, and they were entering the monastery together, going through the rituals together, a feeling of comfort, I thought

This is a lovely portrait - I really like the subtle colours and the facial expression of the boy on the right.
They look rather young to be leaving home.

Very well done.

Another remarkable portrait, or a double one, with fine colours and light, a perfect background and good eye-contact between you and the boys. Dressing up small boys like this is a fascinating tradition whích I was unaware of. These two latest photos may not be unique but they still seem to be a rather rare documentation of a way of life in Burma.
